AUN Actual Quality Assessments at programme level at International University
1. Self assessment for AUN-QA of the Computer Science & Engineering Program, School of Computer Science & Engineering
Self assessment report (SAR) of the Program of Bachelor of Computer Science & Engineering, School of Computer Science & Engineering - International University (IU), Vietnam National University of Ho Chi Minh City (VNU-HCMC), is one of the first efforts to bring the Bachelor Program of Computer Science & Engineering to become the certified program in ASEAN.
From September 2008, to the preparation for the AUN self-assessment at program level, the School of Computer Science & Engineering has established a group of faculty members who undertake activities involving to the program-level self-assessment. The group is working under the supervision of VNU-HCMC Board of Presidents, IU Board of Rectors, and is directed by the Board of Deans of the School of Computer Science & Engineering. During the time of self assessment from Oct 2008 to October 2009, the group also receives advice, training, and support from Center for Educational Testing and Quality Assessment VNU-HCMC.
The School of Computer Science and Engineering of International University, is very grateful to be selected by VNU-HCM for assessment by the AUN Quality Assurance Assessment in the academic year 2009-2010. The self assessment report is the result of the internal quality self-assessment made by the IU and the School for the period of 2004-2009.
On December 10-12th 2009, the 7th AUN Actual Quality Assessment has been taken at IU by group of AUN specialists including Prof. Dr. Amelia P. Guevara (UP), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Satria Bijaksana (ITB), Dr. Ir. Johannes Pramana Gentur Sutapa (UGM). The Program of Computer Science & Engineering was successfully completed the assessment with score of 4.61/7.

2. Self assessment for AUN-QA of the Biotechnology Program, School of Biotechnology
Self assessment report (SAR) of the Program of Bachelor of Biotechnology, School of Biotechnology - International University (BT-IU), Vietnam National University of Ho Chi Minh City (VNU-HCMC), is one of the second endeavors and efforts to bring the its program to become the certified program in ASIA under the network of Asian Universities .
Special attentions and efforts have been made for the AUN-QA self-assessment at the university level, especially when the Bachelor program of the School of Computer Science and Engineering of the International University, Vietnam National University has been certified by AUN. Since then, the school of Biotechnology, International University with a lesion learnt from its equally hosted supervision of the International University (IU), strong advices and supports received from the center for Educational Testing and Quality Assessment of VNU-HCMC (CETQM) as well as from the Center of Education Quality Management (CEQM) of IU-HCMC, has been striving for having its bachelor program certified by AUN in the time to come.
In order to meet the mentioned aim above, tasks have been promptly divided into different subgroups (from a main group of the so-called AUN working group) acting on AUN-QA self assessment at the School level, since October of 2010 for researching & studying about AUN criteria, collecting facts, and writing the report for self-assessment activities.
The AUN-QA working group has been collecting facts and evidences, making everything ready for writing the first draft of SAR and having its draft completed for possible external reviewers in September 2011. As planed and followed the required working agenda of CETQM of VNU, revised versions of AUN-QA self assessment report of BT-IU- VNUHCMC have been made after receiving feedbacks from the external reviewers as well as the suggestions and recommendations from the centers for CETQM and from CEQM in October of 2011.
On December 05-08th 2011, The 13th AUN Actual Quality Assessment has been taken at IU by group of AUN specialists including Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tan Kay Chuan (NUS) & Dr. Ir. Johannes Pramana Gentur Sutapa (UGM). The Program of Biotechnology was also successfully completed the assessment with score of 4.7/7.

3. Self assessment for AUN-QA of Business Administration Program, School of Business
Self assessment report (SAR) of the Program of Bachelor of Business Administration, School of Business - International University, Vietnam National University of Ho Chi Minh City (VNU-HCMC), is the third efforts to bring the Business Administration Program of the International University to become the certified program in ASEAN.
From September 2011, in addition to the preparation for the AUN-QA self-assessment at the program level, the School of Business (SOB) has established a group of faculty members who undertake activities involving to the program-level self-assessment. The group includes 4 subgroups responsible for researching & studying about AUN criteria, collecting facts, data, and evidences and writing the report for self-assessment activities as Self assessment Plan.
During the time of self assessment (October of 2011 to October of 2012), the group also receives advice, training, and support from VNU-HCMC Center for Educational Testing and Quality Assessment.
From March 2011, the group has been collecting facts and writing the first draft of SAR in August of 2011. From August to September of 2011, we received feedbacks on SAR from IU Board of Rectors, VNU-HCMC Center for Educational Testing and Quality Assessment, IU Center of Education Quality Management. , especially from Mr. Johnson Ong Chee Bin, AUN specialist. The group has edited and finished the final report at the end of October 2011.
The 16th AUN Actual Quality Assessment for Business Administration Program has been conducted on December 12-14th 2012 by group of AUN Specialist including Dr. Wyona Patalinghug (DLSU) & Dr. Widyawati MSP (UI) at IU. The Program of Business Administration was also successfully completed the assessment with score of 4.8/7.

4. Self assessment for AUN-QA of Electronics & Telecommunications Program, School of Electrical Engineering
Self assessment report (SAR) of Electronics and Telecommunications Program, School of Electrical Engineering - International University, Vietnam National University of Ho Chi Minh City (VNU-HCMC), is also our new effort to bring the Bachelor Program of Electronics and Telecommunications of the International University to become the certified program in ASEAN. The highlighted point of the Electronics and Telecommunications programs is that it will be assessed by AUN-DAAD (Deutscher Akademischer Austausch Dienst - The German Academic Exchange Service).
From February of 2012, in addition to the preparation for the AUN self-assessment at program level, the School of Electrical Engineering has established a group of faculty members who undertake activities involving to the program-level self-assessment. The group is working under the supervision of VNU-HCMC Board of Presidents, IU Board of Rectors, and is directed by the Board of Deans of the School of Electrical Engineering. The group also receives advice, training, and support from VNU-HCMC Center for Educational Testing and Quality Assessment.

From September to October of 2012, before the official site visit, we received feedbacks on SAR from IU Board of Rectors, Center of Education Quality Management, especially from DAAD too. The group has edited and finished the final report in December 2012.
On April 01-03rd 2013, The AUN-DAAD Actual Quality Assessment has been taken at IU by group of AUN specialists including Mr. Johnson Ong Chee Bin from the ASEAN University Network, Dr. Iring Wasser from Agency for Engineering, Informatics, Natural Sciences and Mathematics (ASIIN), Germany, Prof. Ir. Dr. Ahmad Faizal Mohd. Zain from Universiti Malaysia Pahang, Malaysia. The Program of Electronics and Telecommunications was also successfully completed the assessment with score of 4.7/7.
